CAUTIONS

Avoid high doses in pregnancy (max of 2000mg/day). Commission E suggests people with gallstones consult their physician before use.
Use with caution in gastric ulcers or reflux. Suspend high dose use (>10g) 1 week before surgery.

Known drug interactions:

Avoid with warfarin (Coumadin, Marevan). May increase prothrombin time and international normalised ratio (INR) values. Patients should be monitored for prothrombin & INR values.

Use with caution:

Antiplatelet medications including Aspirin (including Aspro, Solprin, Astrix, Cartia). Co-prescription may increase bruising & bleeding.
